Multimemory devices

Some devices such as the N96 have 2 large memory locations, internal device memory and an option for external memory card. To set the primary memory location that will be filled first, click on the Nokia Multimedia Transfer icon in the menu bar, choose device settings and go to the General tab. Then choose the primary memory,

Adding and removing a device

Nokia Multimedia Transfer can support several devices at the same time. To add a device, simply connect and follow the set up instructions.

If you want to remove a device from the, click on the Nokia Multimedia Transfer icon in the menu bar, choose device settings, and go to the general tab. Then click on the “Remove Device” button.


Clearing the cache

Nokia Multimedia Transfer caches certain files, such as transcoded videos. If you are running out of disk space, you can remove these files.

Simply go to ~/Library/Caches/com.nokia.NokiaMultiMediaTransfers, and delete the contents


Quit Nokia Multimedia Transfer

You can quit Nokia Multimedia Transfer by clicking on the Nokia Multimedia Transfer icon in the menu bar and then clicking on “Quit Nokia Multimedia Transfer”.

However, you can leave Nokia Multimedia Transfer running in the background if you want to use it fairly regulary, or want it to start automatically transferring when you connect your device.


Permanently uninstalling Nokia Multimedia Transfer

If you no longer want to use Nokia Multimedia Transfer, simply quit the application, and drag the application from application folder to the wastebasket. You can also clear the cache (see above).
