Using Nokia Ovi Suite for the first time

Get started with Nokia Ovi Suite by setting up your first synchronisation.

When you’ve downloaded Nokia Ovi Suite from the web or launched the installation program from the DVD that came with your device, you’re ready to sync for the first time.

  1. Connect your Nokia device to your computer using a USB cable or Bluetooth. (Find out how to connect your device to your computer.)
  2. Choose a name for your device.
  3. If you want to use Ovi online services, sign in to your Nokia account or register for a new account. If you prefer, you can skip this step and return to it later.
  4. Choose what you want to synchronise from your Nokia device: contacts, photos, messages and music. You can change these options later.
  5. Select Finish to complete setup.

When the initial synchronisation finishes, Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 is installed on your computer

You can start Nokia Ovi Suite at any time from the icon on your Windows desktop.

If you already have an older version of Nokia Ovi Suite or Nseries Suite installed, it will automatically be uninstalled when you install Nokia Ovi Suite.

Nokia PC Suite and Nokia Ovi Suite can be installed on the same computer, but you should not use them at the same time.
